Working with Cut-n-Nut:

Cutting Threaded Rod:

Most bolt cutters mash one side of the threads, so I use a file:

Using the corner of the file, make a really deep groove around the rod.

Bend to break

File down any burrs or sharp edges.

Cutting:

Cut between the holes, straignten any warping with pliers. You may also want to file off sharp edges.

Folding:

Bend cut-n-nut along the holes, for small peices this can be done by holding the piece in pliers and folding over against a desk.

Enjoy.
